I remember meeting your Uncle Marty once. I can't remember what the occasion was, probably a Shiva if I had to guess, given the wide array of family there. I was youngish, no more than 10 I'd guess. I was so impressed Marty was a cartoonist. He drew a picture of Baby Huey for me and a picture of Popeye for Richie ("Draw me a Popeye Green.") I remember Marty asking why he wanted it drawn in green ink and Arlene had to explain that Richie had given Popeye his own last name ("He loves Popeye.") I love the family stories. Keep 'em coming!
Your writing is so gorgeous. (This phrase! : "feeling her way back to childhood like a blind person.") Also: my mom has a colostomy too. I get it.
Wow, Jennifer. You made my day. Again. And that’s interesting about your mother. Maybe our moms should talk, share tricks of the trade.
Wonderful! Vivid and touching.
Thanks, Brenda!

Thank you, Jeff. Good ole’ Baby Huey. He looms large in my novel.
Really? That's awesome! I guess I will need to read your novel, too
Well, I have to finish writing it -- and I'm a loooooong way from that.
This was fun and I legit LOL’d.
I love that! Thanks for telling me.
Sandy brought to life!
Indeed.
